Ice Dog Ellesse Carini has split this past year between the Australian shores and the Florida sun. Playing for the Florida Eels of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) since late September.

Carini has recorded 8 goals and 16 assists for 24 points, along with 12 penalty minutes in the 40 games he has played for the Eels. The forward registered his first goal as an Eel while making his debut with the team on September 21, 2017 in Florida and most recently registered an assist on a shorthanded goal in a 4-3 OT loss to the Palm Beach Hawks.
The forward played in 22 games for the Ice Dogs last season, recording 5 goals and 2 assists for 7 points and 18 penalty minutes.
The 2018 AIHL season will begin April 21st for the Ice Dogs as they take on the Newcastle Northstars at Macquarie Ice Rink.
