The Reach Crane Trucks Sydney Ice Dogs continue to add more size and skill with the signing of Canadian Grant Toulmin. Toulmin has 235 games of Junior A experience in the WHL and BCHL where he produced 92 points in 119 BCHL games. Toulmin then took his skills to the CIS on scholarship where his production remained at just under a point per game. Toulmin won the Canadian college title with Mount Royal University in 2011 before moving on to Germany with Heilbronner Falken. Most recently, Toulmin has been playing in the British Elite League with the Manchester Storm alongside recent Ice Dogs recruit Paul Swindlehurst. In his 57 games he’s accumulated an impressive 52 points. Toulmin is a 6ft 5", 95kg power forward who has a wide range of talents at his disposal. "He is big, strong and won’t take a backward step but he also sets up and scores goals every game he plays in" says GM Jason Juba. "With Toulmin's size and skill set we are confident in him being the best power forward in the AIHL this year". |
