The Sydney Ice Dogs are very proud to be part of another great event hosted by Feel the Magic! Feel the Magic is a charity organisation that provide support to bereaved children and their families, to help alleviate the pain and isolation felt by the loss of a parent, sibling or legal guardian.
This year’s event was held in Galston and was attended by over 30 children. The Sydney Ice Dogs contingent was led by captain Tomas Manco, and included, Shannon McGregor, Daniel Pataky, Brandon Costa, Strat Allen, Grant Toulmin, Cam Todd, and Assistant Coach Dave Costa.
The Ice Dogs ran a hockey coaching clinic for the boys and girls, demonstrating shooting, passing and scoring. The kids got in on the action with street hockey sticks, as the guys put them through their paces with a some up-tempo hockey drills.
“It’s great to work with a charity like Feel the Magic” said Ice Dogs captain Tomas Manco “an organisation that focuses on kids development during tough times.”
“The support these kids are getting now, will help them grow in every aspect of their lives and overcome hurdles along the way.”
The Ice Dogs would like to say a special “thankyou” to Nicole Suffling- Feel the Magic’s NSW & ACT Program Coordinator, for organising such a great day and hosting the team.
Did you know - 1 in every 20 children aged 7-17 will experience the death of a parent. Grieving children who have experienced the death of someone they love can feel isolated and alone. You can learn more about Feel the Magic here, and help out with a great cause
