The Sydney Ice Dogs, have named Paul Kelly as their new president. Kelly brings with him a wealth of experience in the sport of ice hockey, having served in multiple roles, including as a qualified athletic trainer, equipment manager, team manager, head coach of the Reach Rebels ECSL Team, and the former president of Ice Hockey New South Wales.

Head Coach Jason Kvisle expressed his excitement at having Kelly join the team, citing his numerous accomplishments and experience both on and off the ice. "Paul has won multiple medals at the state and international levels and has experience in board governance and the gritty side of the sport" says Kvisle.

For Kelly, the Ice Dogs hold a special place in his heart, having previously served as the team's sports medic from 2010 to 2014. He recognizes that there is work to be done to bring the team back to its former glory, but he is confident in the team's coaching staff and committee to get there. He believes that a strong work ethic and a united team will be the key to success.

"We have a strong coaching staff and an equally strong committee to support them, so it is important to remember that It’s not the team with the best players that wins It’s the players with the best team that wins. I am looking forward to building a strong work ethic with the committee and coaching staff where we push ourselves to be at the forefront of the league" say Kelly.
